Hi,
I have a Cold Steel Hand and a Half sword made of 1050 steel(model #88HNH) and an original Gerber LMF knife (model #5959). I would like the cross guard on the sword shortened 3 inches, 1 1/2 inches off each side. I would also like the blade which is 33 inches long to be polished. The knife needs to be sharpened, but its a little rough looking and I would like it to be could cleaned up. Please let me know what you could do and some prices for it that would be great. Thanks
Hello Matt,
While your request is a little bit outside our usual specialty, I think we might be able to help you with your requests.
I can’t give you a quote on cost, as I don’t know clearly what is to be done, or how long it might take. However, we charge $25 per hour for our labor and can accomplish much in a few hours, depending on the degree of refinement required.
I don’t recommend polishing the sword by hand as it gets rather expensive.
Thank you so much for doing a beautiful job with my 4 Felco clippers and 1 Lopper.
They look so wonderful, but a didn’t go out and try them yet. You two are so delightful and I wish you much success with your business. I had wished that you had
given me a business card so I could get more sharpening done in the future and know
how to contact you.
All my best, Pat Rose
